Partnership with Purpose: Delivering the Northeast Bronx YMCA

The Northeast Bronx YMCA is a new 53,000 SF multigenerational community center located in the Edenwald neighborhood of the Bronx. Designed by Marvel Architects and opened in 2021, the $60M project includes pools, a full‑length basketball court, fitness facilities, indoor track and community spaces for the YMCA of Greater New York. New York City Economic Development Corporation and local elected officials supported financing and site delivery.

For this high profile civic project, we worked to make sure the owner’s objectives: on‑time delivery, budget compliance, community commitments, and operational readiness were met:

  • Represented owner interests in day‑to‑day construction decisions

  • Developed and managed the schedule for delivery of key programming elements: pools, gym, community spaces

  • Cost control and commercial oversight: review budgets, manage GMP/RFP process, evaluate bids, approve invoices, and administer change orders

  • Procurement support: prequalify bidders, manage subcontractor selection, and oversee long‑lead purchases

  • Permitting and agency coordination
